LECTURE NOTES

Lecture 1
06/01/20 (Week 1)

Mr. Charles explained to what was required of us for this module and gave us an overview of the module requirements. He told us that the for this year was "Mythology" and we need to begin finding different myths that are believed by the people in the countries we will be traveling to. We were then put into different groups. Since I had yet not confirmed my visa for Japan I was temporarily working with the group traveling within Malaysia.

Project 1

Week 1 & 2

Because of my visa situation, I was still not in a permanent group. by this time most of the groups had finalized a topic and started in there research. I had been working in another group going to Langkawi during the previous weeks but in order to avoid confusion I will not be including the work during that time

Week 3

After finally getting the visa and confirming the mt ticket to Japan I was able to join the Japan group. I was grouped with

  • Lee Gahyeong
  • Sihyun Kim
  • Alizeh Shahid
The members in my group were also late in joining the trip and we had a lot to catch up. We began immediately to try and finalize a topic.

After discussing with Mr. Asrizal we decided out topic will be the "Oni" a Japanese demon. We started to do research on the topic and collected the following information.

With the research in place, we started discussing the problem statement and our main research question. We had to finalize the research objectives and decide which aspects of the Oni we were going to focus on.

Week 4
We had to present our findings as a proposal in class. So prior to our presentation we compile all our data and created our presentation slides.

Project 2

Week 6

Project 2 was the compilation and presentation of all the data we had collected on our trip to Japan in the previous week. Here is the compilation of the data we collected on the trip.

Mr. Azrizal gave us some feedback regarding the layout and presentation of the data after showing him the slides and asked us to correct them for the upcoming presentation later that week. We started preparing our presentation slides rearranging some slides and adding a transcript for the interviews we conducted.

Final Project

After the ending of the presentation, we discussed what we were going to create for our final product. The lecturers really liked our idea of creating accessories to promote the Oni. So we decided to make a few T-shirt designs and some phone cases.

Here is our Final compilation which includes our progress for the Final Project.
