Final Project

Pre-Production

For this project we were assigned into groups of two. I was working on the project with Ryan. After discussing about a concept for our story we came up with the following story.

After showing Mr martin the animation we discussed about adjustments that needed to be made . He thought the story looping is confusing and that section needs some adjustments. The overall story is really interesting but since its related time travel the changes in time need to be clear.

With this we made adjustments to story to amend the errors. We presented the new story line to Mr martin and he was happy with it so we moved on to getting ready.

Production.

After finalizing the story we started planning out the props and items we were needed on the story. We decided to use a mannequin as the time traveler and make the rest of the sets using clay and cardboard.

Fig 1.2 Making buildings out of paper for set 2
Since our story had two different settings so we had to make two different sets which we used cardboard to construct. The backgrounds were printed out and pasted on the cardboard sets to match the props we made. After we finished setting up the props we started on the shooting of the movie.

Here are photos of our set.

We used many different shots for our shoot and instead of of shooting from a single angle we adopted to shooting from many different angles to enhance the effect of the story.

Editing and compilation.

After we were done with the shooting we moved to editing the video.First we arranged all the shots in order after selecting the final shots.

The next step was to import these pictures into premiere in the arrangements. After arranging the shots and figuring out the parts that need to be edited, the pictures were taken into Photoshop for editing and corrections.

Here are some of the shots before and after the initial edits.

We then added color corrections and audio to the clip after consulting Mr martin for feedback. This is the final Result
